Events & Learning Sessions
We run quarterly workshops and scenario modeling sessions for finance professionals who want to sharpen their forecasting skills. Most of our events happen in the second half of 2025, with registration opening about six weeks ahead.
Join us for hands-on sessions where theory meets practice.
Upcoming Sessions
These are our confirmed events for the rest of 2025. Each session is designed for small groups so everyone gets individual attention during the modeling exercises.
Risk Scenario Workshop
Three-hour session focused on building stress test scenarios. We'll work through market downturn cases and supply chain disruption models. Bring your laptop and a current project if you want specific feedback.
Advanced Forecasting Techniques
Half-day intensive covering Monte Carlo methods and sensitivity analysis. We'll tackle real datasets from Taiwan's manufacturing sector and walk through model validation step by step.
Monthly Learning Series
Starting in August, we're hosting regular evening sessions. Each one focuses on a specific modeling technique or industry application. They're more casual than the full workshops but still pretty hands-on.
Cash Flow Modeling Basics
Two-hour evening session covering the fundamentals of cash flow forecasting. We start with simple projections and build up to working capital scenarios. Good for anyone refreshing their skills or new to financial modeling.
Revenue Recognition Scenarios
Focused session on modeling different revenue recognition patterns. We'll look at subscription models, multi-year contracts, and deferred revenue situations. Particularly relevant for SaaS and service companies operating in Taiwan market.
Year-End Planning Session
Wrap-up workshop where we discuss 2026 forecasting approaches and review what worked (and what didn't) in our 2025 models. Open discussion format with structured exercises. Bring questions from your own projects.
Who Leads These Sessions
Our events are run by practitioners who still work in finance daily. They bring current challenges and real examples to every session.
Wesley Thornburg
Workshop Facilitator
Works with manufacturing clients on scenario planning. Ran finance operations at a Taiwan semiconductor supplier for eight years before switching to consulting. Knows the local market pretty well.
Darla Kinsley
Technical Lead
Spent twelve years building financial models for tech companies. Now teaches the technical side of forecasting and helps people fix broken spreadsheets. Has seen pretty much every modeling mistake possible.
Reuben Volkov
Industry Specialist
Focuses on sensitivity analysis and stress testing. Worked through the 2008 crisis doing risk modeling for banks, so brings that perspective to current scenarios. Good at explaining complex concepts without jargon.
